Among Europe’s most significant contemporary theatre directors. Warlikowski’s plays touch on the most intimate – often embarrassing feelings, they break societal taboos and force spectators to confront their worldview and faith – no matter what it might be. His plays frequently employ drastic means to emphasize  our obligation to understand, empathize and forgive. At the Stary Theatre, Warlikowski’s directorial credits include The Marquis of O.
